SelectionContainer.shift(seqID, value)¶

Shifts by value the labels assigned to a given seqID.

Helper to ease the apply function.

Parameters:

seqID (str) – Identifier of the sequence of interest.
value (Union[int, list of int]) – Identifier of the reference sequence

Raises:

ValueError:	if the `Selection` is already shifted
